Wentworth Direct Finance Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to you the client being the customer of Wentworth Direct Finance. They outline various parts of our services provided to you. Please read them carefully and don’t hesitate to contact us if you require further clarification.

Wentworth Direct Finance are credit brokers licensed under the 1974 Consumer Credit Act to act on your behalf with the aim of arranging credit between yourself and or joint applicant and the lender either directly or through a loan agent. The main purpose of our service is to arrange for you through our lenders and or loan agents the desired loan amount applied for. In using our services you give Wentworth Direct Finance your full consent to share your application details with third party lenders and or loan agents with regards to our endeavours to place you the client with an appropriate lending source that will service your loan requirement, and you agree to cooperate with Wentworth Direct Finance in full toward that end. Your cooperation may include the sending in or the completing and signing of further documentation at our request or the request of our lenders or lending agents before a credit agreement is forthcoming. We also require your cooperation if our lenders ask for proof of income before the loan is granted.

Wentworth Direct Finance accepts loan applications based upon basic underwriting criteria outlined by the lenders we deal with either directly or through our loan agents. Wentworth Direct Finance uses the term acceptance as a broker on the basis that your application meets the basic underwriting criteria outlined by our lenders or lending agents for onward processing by them. As such we rely upon the full honesty of you the client applying to us for a loan on the basis that all application details are correct. By using our services you must also be aware that your application details may be credit scored through a third party credit reference agency.

For our services there is a brokers fee of £69.95 charged which is payable by you the client for the use of our services as a broker. This is charged as an up front fee. Fees are payable by cheque, postal order or credit/debit card. We accept payments in writing as well as verbally in the case of you paying by card. When you the client send payment of the brokers fee you will ensure that there are sufficient funds in your account for the relevant amount to clear. If your payment does not clear we reserve the right not to process your loan details further. We accept payment from you in good faith on the understanding that those funds will clear.

Under Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004 you have a right to cancel your application within 14 days of receiving these terms and conditions and receive repayment of the fee. If you wish to cancel your application, you must write to Wentworth Direct Finance notifying us. In this event the amount will be returned within 30 days of the date on which we receive your written request to cancel your application. You the client may also, at any time, within six months cancel the agreement if you so wish, in this event the brokers fee will be refunded to you within a reasonable time, not exceeding 30 days, from the date of cancellation in writing, minus a £5 admin charge.

By using our services you are also accepting that Wentworth Direct Finance are not only entitled to receive your broker fee but also receive commissions from lenders or loan agents for processing your loan. When we are referring to our loan approval form, the term approved is a general approval on behalf of ourselves as a broker to those customers who meet the basic underwriting criteria accepted by our lenders either directly or through our loan agents. The Representative (Typical) APR that is advertised and or stated either verbally or in a written format. within our correspondence is our Representative (Typical) APR. The repayment figures advertised and or stated verbally or written within our correspondence are based upon our Representative (Typical) APR. Wentworth submit all loan applicants onto Capital First Loans UK in Association with Ralph Marlon loans as well as other lenders/lending agents.

Complaints Procedure

If you have a complaint about any part of the service that we offer then you should put your complaint in writing.

You should give your name, address and loan reference number.

You should then state what your complaint is about.

If you want to request a refund then you should put your request in writing.

You should give your name, address and loan reference number.

You should then state why you want a refund.
